
Alex is a Managing Director based in New York, advising corporate and private equity clients on M&A and strategic transactions across technology services, media & entertainment, and consumer.
He was previously a Managing Director at Evercore in New York, advising on cross-border transactions with Asia and Europe. He spent the first decade of his career at Lazard in Paris, Beijing and New York in the Technology, Media and Telecom group. He was a founding member of Lazard’s Greater China team in Beijing and Hong Kong during the peak years of cross-border Chinese investment activity. In 2017, he was recognized by Business Insider as a “Rising Star of Wall Street”.
Alex has worked on transactions totaling over $60 billion in value throughout his career. Select transaction experience includes Level 3 Communications’ $34 billion sale to Lumen Technologies, Tribune Publishing on Gannett’s $815 million unsolicited offer and the spin-off of the LA Times, SeaWorld on the sale of Blackstone’s remaining stake, Bridgepoint on the $1.2 billion sale of Infront to Wanda, IK Investments’ sale of Vistra Group to EQT BPEA, the attempted acquisition of South Korean gaming company Nexon, Tilting Point on gaming acquisitions, Vail Resorts on its convertible note issuance and a strategic acquisition, Temasek and Hopu’s investment in Ceva, Abertis on the sale of its Eutelsat stake to China Investment Corporation, Carrefour on its €2.3 billion spin-off of hard discounter DIA and the strategic review of its China business, Dongfeng Motor’s €800 million investment in Peugeot SA (Stellantis) alongside the French state, COSCO on its acquisition of a 51% stake in Piraeus Port, etc.
Alex was nominated as a Young Leader by the French-American Foundation and the Aspen Institute’s French chapter. He was selected as an Asia 21 Fellow by the Asia Society, where he co-founded a leadership committee focused on U.S.-China relations. Alex is a board member at the Sciences Po American Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to advancing the mission of Sciences Po Paris, one of the world’s foremost academic institutions in social sciences.
Alex was appointed as a Foreign Trade Advisor by the Republic of France and is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
